 Power cord port broke inside Toshiba laptop - any tips to fix it myself? I have a Toshiba Satellite A215 - S7425. My port for my power cord broke and is very loose inside the computer. I can barely get it to charge, and the repair places near me want to charge me $300+. Any tips to fix it myself? I am weary to even open it, in case I mess it up. Thank you for your help. To fix it you will need to open it. It is somewhat complex with Toshiba Laptops. I have an L45 - S7423 and it was a pain in the butt the first time i took it apart (to clean it from a Coke spill from the previous owner) One thing i can say about Toshiba is that they are pretty good about using DC Power jacks that are not Directly Soldered onto the board. In other words means...once you get the laptop apart, you would be able to unplug the DC power Jack that is broken and replace it with a new one.
